National Crime Victims’ Rights Week 2019 Events

We were honored to hear from survivor Laura Fu. She was a junior at Hofstra in 2001 when her boyfriend, Max Kolb, was murdered by another student. The following year she created and produced The Friends of Max Kolb Telethon, the first ever live telethon at the School of Communication, where Max was a film student. The show ran for 16 years and raised over $80,000 for the Max Kolb Endowed Scholarship, which supports other aspiring film students.

Many thanks to those who attended our fundraiser luncheon and showed support for all victims of violent crime in North Carolina.
